Lake Ontario Charter Boat

Lake Ontario Sport Fishing Boat

The Lake Ontario sport fishing boat is a top charter boat with an experienced Captain and crew.

The Ace charter boat is a 2009 28 foot custom built Baha GLE 277 Great Lakes Edition boat with a 9'6" beam. She includes 80 foot of cockpit space with 36 inch high freeboard for safety and fishing ability. She is powered by a 6.2L Mercruiser EFI and also has a 15hp Yamaha 4-stroke kicker.

Through sponsorship the Ace has been outfitted with Big Jon Sports' Brute ES downriggers, Electric Planer reels, and Christmas tree rod holders. Electronics include Furuno FCV585 fishfinder, Lowrance Open Array Radar with chart plotter, Raymarine autopilot, Cannon downspeed and temp, and last but not least XM/Sirius live doppler marine weather radar!

The Ace offers plenty of elbow room to make your fishing trip as comfortable as possible. She can easily fish up to 6 anglers without having to fish on top of one another. With her 6.2 L Mercruiser engine she has the speed to get your fishing party to the best fishing grounds in quick fashion allowing you more time to fish.

Items you should bring on your Lake Ontario fishing trip.

A food, drink and fish cooler

Bring a cooler for food and drinks. Ask your Lake Ontario charter boat Captain how large of a cooler you will need to carry your fish home in. Ask what you can keep and even where you can have your fish cleaned.

A sports bag to carry all your personal fishing gear

A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, glasses etc and other personal items that you need on a saltwater charter fishing trip.

Bring chicken, subs, and sandwiches or whatever you want to eat. Bring your drinks - Ask the Captain if he allows beer.

Bring all your food and drinks. If you want to bring beer you should clear it with the Lake Ontario Beach charter boat Captain first. Alcoholic beverages are ALLOWED.

Foul weather gear - Optional

If you will be fishing in foul or rainy weather then you may want to bring some gear to keep you dry. Not as important on boats with parlors, cabins, and covers.

Bring polarized sun glasses to block the suns glare

Bring sun glasses. Preferably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects up off the water. Lake Ontario fishing means you must take measures to combat the suns rays.

A camera or video camera for pictures

Bring a camera to take snapshots of those big fish you catch or bring a video camera and catch all the action that a Lake Ontario fishing trip offers.

Fishing hats to block sun burn

A hat or ball cap is a good idea, especially for you guys that are getting a bit thin on top. Protect your head from the New York sun's burning rays.

If you get seasick then motion sickness pills would be a very good idea

If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named "RALPH".

Sun vareen so you won't burn

The Lake Ontario fishing region can get very hot during the summer. Make sure you bring sunvareen, especially if you easily burn. If you are burnt up you can't enjoy your Lake Ontario charter fishing trip.

Bring cash to tip the boat's mate - TIP HIM WELL!

You probably already paid for the trip but you should make sure you have some cash in pocket so you can tip the First Mate. Being Mate on a charter boat is not easy work and these guys deserve every dime they get.
Tip them well!
