 The rain over the last several days has made the Hudson River Striper fishing deplorable. The water color itself resembles coffee with cream in it. On at least one day we couldn't even jig up any herring. Good thing we kept several dead baits fron the day before. We are hoping that the rain will hold off for at least another day or two so that the Hudson river can cleanse itself and we can effectively fish it for striped bass. Lets hope that at least if it does rain, its not of the deluge variety like its been. Water temps are continuing to rise and are now in the low sixties. The spawn wont be too long from coming now.There have been reports of Stripers spawning farther south in the Kingston area. |
