 The temps are now at the preferred spawning degrees that the Hudson River Striped bass like. There will be a major brunt of spawning occuring today into tomorrow, and this will be one of our last Striper reports before our last trip.
Mother nature really put a damper on things for this season as it was either raining and muddy or the wind was blowing like crazy. In spite of these conditions and cancelling several trips do to the inclement weather, we did manage to land some nice fish. We had several groups that limited out and did manage to boat one tagged fish that may be worth a grand. It seems like the season just started and now its over till next year. Lake Ontario, here we come!
Reports from fellow captains on the "Big Pond" have indicated that the brown trout fishing has been phenominal, with limit catches the norm. Reports of browns in the upper teens have been commen.
