Another Lake Ontario Season Begins

Another Lake Ontario season has just begun for us here in Oswego,NY. Our first charter started on June 1st as it typically has for the past several years.

This year, our friend and client Clark Stone showed up solo to fish with us. He decided to have us enter the first ever Scriba Town Inn Brown Trout tournament. We left the port on June 1st at 5am per tournament rules.

To say it was a difficult fishing would be an understatement. Consider that out of 20 teams entered, only one boat had five fish. Ckark managed to go five for five, but only 4 of them were keepers. They had to be 18″ or better.

As luck would have it, we finished 3rd overall along with the 3rd biggest brown. Clark boated a 7.95 lb brown. Congratulations Clark to a job well done.

Salmon fishing on Sunday, proved to be ok for Clark as well. He boated a beautiful silver king salmon weighing 20 lbs along with others.

In practice for our Lake Ontario fishing season, Jeff Austin joined us for our shakedown cruise. He landed many kings as well as a 13lb brown.
