We have just completed another Lake Ontario Pro-Am series and I have to say that I am quite proud of my team. We finished 5th in Niagra, 2nd in Oak Orchard, and 7th in Oswego. When it was all said and done our team grossed over $12000.00 in prize money. We were also in contention for the Lake Wide Cup. As luck would have it, we finished second overall getting beat by Yankee Troller by seven points after coming back from a fifty point deficit going into Oswego leg.
As far as the luck part goes, here”s what happened. There were three teams that did not weigh in on day two of the tournament. At least one team had a very respectable box on day one. If two of those three teams had weighed in, we most likely would have secured the Cup win. I do know that one of the teams did in fact have fish to weigh in as I watched them boat several. Apparently, they did not think that they had enough points to cash so they didn’t bother to weigh in.
We will be fishing the Atomik Invitational and the Tite Lines shootout during the month of August. Wish us luck.
