New for 2026 at Ace Charters will be discussed in this post. As splash time approachs, we are very exited to enter our 29th year chartering. With a new addition to our Ace Charters fleet as well as a new home for our tried and true Weekender Baha Cruiser, we can hardly wait.
Baha Gets A Permanent Home
For those eager to learn about Ace Charters’ updates, the year 2026 brings several exciting changes new for Ace Charters. Our Baha Cruiser charter boat will find a permenent residence this year on the Hudson River out of Coeymans, NY. Over the years we have fished the Ace Charters II Baha here for striped bass fishing. The Baha will remain virtually the same in set up and functionality. The reason the Baha will be staying here is because we were fortunate enough to aquire a 2001 Tiara 3100 open hardtop with twin cummins deisels. It’s also worth noting that new for 2026 at Ace Charters, we are excited to upgrade our overall fleet and home base.
Ace Charters III
New for 2026 at Ace Charters is the Ace Charters III. As previously mentioned, a beautiful 31 ft Tiara has been added to the Ace Charters . This boat is absolutely immaculate! With less than 1200 hours on the engines, the Tiara has hardly been used. From top to bottom she looks brand new. She will be permanenty housed on Lake Ontario for the forseable future. We are exited to get her ready and outfitted for our June trophy brown trout season and summer salmon fishing into September out of Oswego. Here’s what we will be rigging soon!
New Tackle and Rigging
To highlight what’s new regarding tackle and equipment at Ace Charters, 2026 brings fresh options into our gear line-up. Additionally, Ace Charters will introduce new tackle and rigging as part of the updates for 2026, making it another exciting change for guests. We purchased some of the original Luhr Jensen froggy dipsey divers from Fish USA ! We started fishing them over 20 plus years ago when they first came out. For many years after, they were not available and dissapeared. Thanks to Fish USA they’re back! Catch America has spoons that look to be awesome as potential brown trout slayers. Hopefully the paint jobs stay on the spoons better than some that are on the market today. Firebrand Custom Spoons also appear to be potential fish catchers for trout and salmon. They are noted for the paint finish staying on them. We also added Amish Outfitters Planer Boards this year. These are noted to pull hard out to the sides and require at least 500lb planer board line. Amish Outfitter snubbers are also recommended. Whats nice about these boards is that they fold up for easy storage.
Putting It All Together
In summary, the 2026 season brings all kinds of updates new for Ace Charters, including boats, tackle and rigging. Work will start soon as our boats are out of storage. Much of the tackle on the Baha will be transfered over to the Tiara. The Baha will be towed to the Hudson River on April 13th if all goes to plan Towing permits are in our possession. Finally, if you’re wondering what’s new for Ace Charters in 2026, it’s a combination of equipment, locations, and more ready to enhance your experience.
