When is the best time to fish Lake Ontario for trout and salmon?
The best time to fish Lake Ontario is between June and September depending on the species to be caught. Early season in June is excellent for trophy sized Brown Trout! What species of fish can we expect to catch.
Our primary target species are trophy trout and King Salmon depending on time of year. Please check out our fish species of Lake Ontario page
What do we do with our catch? Can we keep it?
A cooler with ice is aboard the boat to keep your catch fresh. There is a professional fish cleaning station 50 ft from the stern of our charter boat. They fillet and bag your catch for a small fee. They will also, for an additional fee, fillet and comercially vacuum seal and freeze your fillets for transportation. Be advised that boats that do their own cleaning, typically do it on your fishing time, not theirs!
How far in advance should we book our trip?
Answer: We book up fairly quickly so the sooner the better. Weekends book up several months in advance. Weekdays, several weeks. You Can E mail us through our contact form or call us at 413-346-7675
