Ace Charters operate a 28.6 foot custom built Baha Cruiser 280 Weekender, Great Lakes Edition charter fishing boat with a 10’6″ beam. She includes a large 80 foot of cockpit space with 36 inch high free-board for safety and fishing ability. The “Ace” is powered by twin 5.7 L MPI Crusader Captains Choice marine engines boasting 330 HP per side.
Our Lake Ontario Charter boat through various Pro Staff sponsorship has been outfitted with custom Scotty High speed downriggers, Big Jon Sports’ Electric Planer reels, and Great Lakes Christmas tree rod holders. Our state of the art electronics include a top of the line Furuno FCV588 fishfinder, Lowrance 3G Radar with Gen III Chart Plotter, Simrad Autopilot, FishHawk X4D down-speed and water temperature, and last but not least, all of the latest marine weather radar apps for additional client safety and navigation!
The “Ace Charters II” offers plenty of elbow room to make your fishing trip as comfortable as possible. She can easily fish up to 6 anglers without having to fish on top of one another. With her twin Crusader engines with 660 HP, she has the speed to get your fishing party to the best fishing grounds in quick fashion allowing us even more time to fish.

Lake Ontario Charter Boat Tackle
When it comes to having the absolute best in Great Lakes fishing tackle to ensure a successful outing, Ace Charters has left no stone un-turned. All the tackle that is provided aboard our charter boat the “Ace Charter II” is tournament proven and charter tested. Quite a bit of our tackle is paid for out of pocket because we know it to be the best available. At Ace Charters, we will not accept Pro staff positions just to get a break on paying for lesser quality tackle.
The majority of our fishing reels are manufactured by Shimano which we feel through trial and error to be the most bullet proof and user friendly fishing reels available today. They may cost a bit more, but the quality and durability far exceed the additional cost involved to procure them. All the tackle that we use, including the Shimano line, are chosen to facilitate ease of use for women, children, and novice anglers. This in turn goes a long way to stack the odds in the favor of the more advanced fishermen as well. Simply put, we use only the best!
